People of Presagia

You may know Presagia as the company that provides cloud-based solutions to help employers manage leaves of absence and accommodations. If you’ve been following along with our posts, you may also know that we provide information on relevant topics in the field, such as insourcing vs. outsourcing leave management, using technology to strengthen consistency, the best-practice workflow for the ADA interactive process and so much more!

So, you may know Presagia the company, but do you know the people behind the brand? Let’s dive in deep and get you acquainted with some of our Presagians!

Dave- Founder and CEO of Presagia

The Backstory

David Glickman (pictured above) is the founder and CEO of Presagia. The company was founded in 1987 and has a long history of providing easy-to-use solutions for organizations who want to solve complex business problems. These solutions weren’t always absence management-related, but became that in 2006, with the acquisition of AtWork Resources, a California-based firm specializing in absence management best-practices. During this time, Jackson Lewis, a national employment law firm was also brought in to help identify and interpret all of the federal and state leave laws across the U.S. into technology.

The goal? Create a software solution that would provide employers with the decision support needed to manage laws compliantly, while also streamlining their processes. This resulted in Presagia’s absence management platform, including two integrated modules - Presagia Leave and Presagia ADA

Here at Presagia, our vision is “to be the industry’s most trusted source of knowledge and technology for integrated disability and absence management.”

3. What do you enjoy most about working for this company?

Being a company of our size and having such a niche product provides daily opportunities to learn new skills and overcome new obstacles. Collaboration in and between teams is an absolute necessity so, every day (without fail) I am presented with new subject matter, which in turn helps to broaden my knowledge. This, combined with the ability to work alongside some truly intelligent, creative and friendly people really makes for an enjoyable experience.

4. What’s the last concert you went to that blew you away?

I’m not sure I’d say it blew me away, but I can definitely remember the last concert that truly surprised me. My wife and I try to treat each other to concerts for our respective birthdays and that usually means choosing whatever happens to be in town that week. For her last birthday, we attended Rod Stewart and it was such a fun experience! I was looking forward to it simply because growing up, my family took a lot of road trips and Rod Stewart’s Greatest Hits was one of the only albums we had. I didn’t expect much else other than a bit of nostalgia but he surprised us all with the level of engagement, humility and quality of the entire show. I wish that I knew what I know now...
